Rachael Ray's Ground Gyros

So Glenn and I watch the Food Network channel about 2 hours a day! Seriously. Anyways, we caught an episode of 30 minute meals and wanted to try this ground gyro recipe that was featured on there. I love gyros and it looked easy!

There's the link to the recipe! We didn't make the waffle fries with gravy but we made everything else! We also used ground turkey meat instead of lamb! Lamb is better but turkey (to Glenn) is healthier.

Toppings we put in our gyro. Banana peppers, tomato, cucumber slices.
Tazaki sauce: Greek yogurt, cucumbers, lemon juice, cumin.
Turkey loaf which will be sliced: ground turkey, spinach, feta cheese, spices.

Placed the turkey slices, toppings, and tazaki sauce into a slice of pita.

The tazaki sauce "made it". Turkey isn't a meat known for it's flavor so it didn't really have any flavor!! :( Next time I will definitely stick to the original recipe. It still didn't taste bad but it didn't turn out as flavorful as I would like.
